Abstract
This volume contains seven very impressive conference papers on the compressibility behavior of tropical peat. The author has selected the best papers after having presented in several local and international conferences on civil engineering from the year 2006 until 2009. His paper entitled "Compressibility Behavior of Tropical Peat Reinforced with Cement Column" has won the !st runner-up award for the category of student paper competition organized by Deep Foundation Institute (DFI) in USA.
