Abstract
Since the founding of the theory of fuzzy sets by L.A. Zadeh in 1965, it
has seen four decades of development and applications. The scope of
developments and applications crosses from theoretical to practical in our
daily life. The broad contribution in many areas demonstrates the value of
the theory.
Fuzzy sets theory has also been applied in education field such as in
learning process and students' academic performance. Even though
progress in the development of fuzzy assessment is seen to make an
impact towards education assessment, some weaknesses of these new
approaches are apparent.
