Abstract
Individual machine components are generally dynamically welldesigned
and rigorously tested. However, when these machines are assembled together their dynamic characteristics changed causing unexpected behavior of the system. In general, the cause(s) of the vibration problem is(are) either due to operations i.e. the unaccounted excitation forces generated as the results of wear and tear, improper installation, services, etc. or due to the structural dynamic design deficiency or both.
